The FIREDOS proportioner is a water driven foam proportioning system for industrial use and is designed to mix liquid re- ghting foam additives.
It is designed to be installed in water feed pipework supplying foam solution to foam making outlets such as foam generators, pourers, nozzles, monitors, branchpipes, xed or portable equipment.
Very accurate and tolerant of pressure and ow variations, It is an ideal alternative to x ow inductor, pressure vessel bladder tanks and electric / diesel driven foam pumps with balanced pressure proportioners. It is available in 9 sizes which cover ows up to 20,000 litres/minute.
Simple installation and operation and as there are no complicated procedures for lling or re- lling tanks. It can be fed more foam concentrate whilst in operation.
It will handle Newton constant viscosity additives up to a viscosity of 500mP. However, structurally viscous (that is, non-Newton) re- ghting additives at static viscosities of up to 2000mP can be done as well. With structurally viscous uids, the viscosity changes according to the state of movement.
